HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN

Clay pigeon shooting yesterday, hit quite a few, very cathartic. Those little clay discs can transmute into one’s enemies and to see them disintegrate into a cloud of dust is most satisfying. In Japan there are places where you can have a plaster sculpture of your boss and bash it to pieces with a baseball bat. Just waiting for my shotgun certificate to come through now so I can get my own gun. It takes a few months but I can always go to the Crabtree Clay Shoot for a bit of therapy.

SHOTGUN

A few years ago I tried clay pigeon shooting at a country fair. I enjoyed it and I hit most of them. I thought I am going to take this up, but as usual inertia intervened. Now I have overcome the inertia and taken it up again. All that remains is to get my own gun, but first I have to get a shotgun certificate from the police, and before that a suitable gun cabinet and safe for the ammunition.

It is very cathartic blasting at clays and watching them shatter into tiny pieces, one can pretend they are ones enemies and it provides a safe way of releasing pressure without anyone getting hurt.

As an unashamed carnivore I would also be prepared to shoot birds and animals for food, but never for sport. Anyone want to come and have a go with me, there are many clay shoots in the area?
